The Odd Future affiliate shared his version of the song, originally recorded by The Isley Brothers and later covered by Aaliyah in 1994, on what would have been the late singer's 36th birthday.

AceShowbiz - Frank Ocean celebrated Aaliyah's birthday by sharing his version of "At Your Best (You Are Love)". The Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All affiliate posted his rendition of the song on his Tumblr on Friday, January 16, the day the late R&B superstar would have turned 36 if she were alive.

The soulful cover highlights Ocean's falsetto. Over the piano keys, he emotionally belts out the chorus, "But at your best you are love/ You're a positive motivating force within my life/ Should you ever feel the need to wonder why/ Let me know, let me know."

"At Your Best (You Are Love)" was originally a 1976 song by The Isley Brothers. Aaliyah covered the track in 1994.

Ocean's tribute cover came two months after he released "Memrise", the first offering from him in nearly two years. He's currently working on his new album, the follow-up to the Grammy-winning "Channel Orange" (2012), with a number of producers like Pharrell Williams, Danger Mouse, Rodney Jerkins and Hit-Boy.
