In her new entry for her Pottermore site, the 'Harry Potter' author talks about Hogwarts bully Draco and shares more info about the character's upbringing and family.

AceShowbiz - J.K. Rowling has written another entry on Pottermore. On the 11th day, the "Harry Potter" author shared her thoughts on Draco Malfoy, the Hogwarts bully, on the Monday, December 22 entry. In the piece, she revealed more about the character's family and shared that she didn't understand why many fans fell for him.

"Draco remains a person of dubious morality in the seven published books, and I have often had cause to remark on how unnerved I have been by the number of girls who fell for this particular fictional character," she wrote, before adding that actor Tom Felton "who plays Draco brilliantly in the films and, ironically, is about the nicest person you could meet."

"Draco has all the dark glamour of the anti-hero; girls are very apt to romanticize such people. All of this left me in the unenviable position of pouring cold common sense on ardent readers' daydreams, as I told them, rather severely, that Draco was not concealing a heart of gold under all that sneering and prejudice and that no, he and Harry were not destined to end up best friends," she continued.

Rowling additionally said that Draco would get married to a fellow Slytherin, Astoria Greengrass, and have a son named Scorpius. Draco's parents Lucius and Narcissa see their daughter-in-law as a disappointment because she is more tolerant to non pure-blood people and that "family gatherings were often fraught with tension" due to the different views.
