Movie

In a new interview, Wahlberg says he's 'committed to doing a couple more' 'Transformers' movies before adding that the filming probably will start 'soon.'

AceShowbiz - Mark Wahlberg opens up about his appearance in the upcoming "Transformers 5". Wahlberg, who first appeared in the franchise in "Transformers: Age of Extinction", talked about the follow-up to the hit in a new interview with MTV, hinting that the new movie might come "soon."

"Yeah, I committed to doing a couple more," said the actor, confirming that he'd reprise his role as a Texas inventor and mechanic named Cade Yeager. "I can't speak for Mr. Bay, but something tells me we'll be on set soon," he added, referring to director Michael Bay who previously said "Age of Extinction" would be the last installment in the franchise he directed.

The director dropped the hint in an interview with USA Today earlier this year. "There's kind of a new chapter, a new direction in movies I want to make. I have a lot of stories to tell. And it's about flexing new muscles," he said back then.

"Age of Extinction", released in June, features new cast members such as Nicola Peltz who plays Wahlberg's daughter Tessa and Jack Reynor who portrays her boyfriend. It raked in $245 million in the U.S. and was a big hit internationally, collecting a global total of $1.087 billion.
