The president thinks the 12-year project is 'a great movie,' while the First Lady likes reading 'Gone Girl' which she says 'is much better than the movie.'

AceShowbiz - Richard Linklater's 12-year experiment "Boyhood" has garnered positive reviews from critics and it just added a famous name on its list of fans. In a new interview with PEOPLE, President Barack Obama names the movie as his favorite this year in addition to discussing heavier topics such as racial profiling.
" 'Boyhood' was a great movie. That, I think, was my favorite movie this year," he says, as quoted by Politico. First Lady Michelle Obama, meanwhile, prefers to read Gillian Flynn's "Gone Girl". She comments, "I've read others [since, but] I read 'Gone Girl' a couple summers ago, which is one of my favorites. The book is much better than the movie."
In other news, President Obama commented on cyber attack targeting Sony Pictures Entertainment in a new TV interview. A group of hackers calling themselves Guardians of Peace previously threatened to attack cinemas which screen "The Interview", a comedy starring James Franco and Seth Rogen which focuses on two TV journalists who are sent to assassinate North Korea's leader Kim Jong-Un. Speaking to ABC News on Wednesday, the president said movie fans should just go to theaters.
"Well, the cyber attack is very serious," he said. "We're investigating it. We're taking it seriously. You know, we'll be vigilant. If we see something that we think is serious and credible, then we'll alert the public. But for now, my recommendation would be that people go to the movies." Sony, however, has decided to cancel "The Interview" Christmas Day release and planned not to release it.
