The eldest son of Tom and Rita Wilson revealed he entered rehab for an addiction to cocaine, from which he's '50 days clean and sober from everything, including alcohol.'

AceShowbiz - Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson's eldest son, Chester Hanks a.k.a. Chet, opened up about his struggle with cocaine addiction in an Instagram post last week on Wednesday, November 19. "I've been struggling with substance abuse since I was 16 years old," Chet wrote, "Finally at the age of 24 I decided to get some help."
He continued, "With 50 days of sobriety under my belt, I can honestly say I'm the happiest I've ever been. I'm thankful for my family and everybody that cares about me, including my fans. I've been blessed with the programs of AA and NA which allow me to rise above this disease. I'm learning to accept my faults and be ok with being human. If anybody that sees this struggles with addiction, feel free to reach out. Thank you all for the love and support! GOD IS REAL!!!"
The message was accompanied by a video, in which Chet explained why he decided to share his story to public. "I have an announcement. A tabloid is about to run a piece on me being in rehab for cocaine addiction. It's true, and I'm currently 50 days clean and sober from everything, including alcohol. I don't give a f**k what people think. F**k the media." Star magazine planned to reveal about Chet's drug addiction on its December 8 issue.
Chet, who released his first rap single in 2011, released a new song titled "Karma Tattoo" last week. His new EP "Shadow of the Spotlight" will be released in early 2015.
Tom and Rita are also parents to Truman Hanks. The 56-year-old actor also has two children from his previous marriage, actor Colin Hanks and Elizabeth Ann Hanks.
