AceShowbiz - Tris Prior has come a long way from "Divergent", looking like a bada** in the first teaser trailer of the movie's sequel "The Divergent Series: Insurgent". Instead of ponytail, the heroine sports a chic pixie cut while jumping on crumbling buildings in future Chicago.
The teaser shows Tris seeing her mom inside a building that goes up in flame. Trying to rescue her, Tris jumps the impossible and grabs her hand just in the nick of time. "The World Will Never Be the Same" flashes across the screen.
"Insurgent" raises the stakes for Tris as she searches for allies and answers in the ruins of a futuristic Chicago. Tris and Four are now fugitives on the run, hunted by Jeanine, the leader of the power-hungry Erudite elite. Racing against time, they must find out what Tris' family sacrificed their lives to protect, and why the Erudite leaders will do anything to stop them. Haunted by her past choices but desperate to protect the ones she loves, Tris, with Four at her side, faces one impossible challenge after another as they unlock the truth about the past and ultimately the future of their world.
Shailene Woodley, Theo James and Kate Winslet return as Tris, Four and Jeanine respectively. Robert Schwentke takes over the directing duty from Neil Burger, using the script from Akiva Goldsman and Brian Duffield. The pic hits U.S. theaters March 20, 2015.
