It's still unclear if 'Lover' is an old Kesha song that has just surfaced or a new song she's recorded for her upcoming album.

AceShowbiz - A never-before-heard song by Kesha, formerly Ke$ha, hit the web over the weekend. Arriving via SoundCloud, the track titled "Lover" was reportedly written by the singer herself and co-produced by Spookey Ruben and Schpilkas.

The five-minute track sounds a little bit unpolished, so many assume this is just a demo. Kesha shows off her raw vocals on the slow-tempo song. "Lover/ You've already broken my heart/ Why would you stay?" she sings the chorus.

For now, it's unclear if "Lover" is an old Kesha song that has just surfaced or a new song she's recorded for her upcoming album, which is expected to be released next year.

In the past few weeks, Kesha has been making headlines for her ongoing legal battle with Dr. Luke. She's accusing the producer of sexually, physically, verbally and emotionally abused her. Luke has responded to the claims, saying the stories were made up so that he would release the singer from her contract.

On Halloween, Kesha took to Twitter to thank her fans for their support. "Happy halloween. Thank u to everyone who has given me support over the past few weeks," she wrote. "I've missed my animals!"
