In a new interview, the R'n'B star who recently dropped his new album 'X' talks about his experience in jail and feeling 'amazing' after seeing his therapist.

AceShowbiz - Chris Brown, who recently released his new album "X", has opened up about his "humbling experience" in jail. Brown, who only released the album now following his incarceration, also shared how therapy helped him overcome his problems during an interview with Extra on Thursday, September 18 to promote the new set.

Calling his time in prison "one of the things I'll never forget," Brown also talked about what he learned from himself during his time in jail during the chat with Mario Lopez. "For me I just learned that nobody's invincible, everybody's equal, at the same time no amount of celebrity status, no amount of how many fans love you, no amount of anything can deter you away from the real if you make a mistake and nobody's excusable... I think for me it was a humbling experience for me to become a man and mature," the singer said.

In the interview, the "Loyal" singer additionally shared that therapy helped him deal with his feelings. "I see my therapist twice a week, it's amazing and I was at first adamant about it, like, 'I don't want to go to therapy, I'm not going to talk to anybody,' but as I went through it and kept talking, it's actually very therapeutic," he admitted.

In a separate interview with Access Hollywood, Brown shared that he had changed and that he wanted to be known for his music or being "the best dancer." He said, "The past year has been God's way of showing me what was necessary. You think you're invincible and I needed to look at my life and see it. I need to be more of a role model. I wanna be an icon for what I do with my talent. I want to be legendary for what I do with my music not for what happens in my personal life."
