One morning, Ig Perrish grows a set of horns out of his head and possesses the power to make people confess their sins.
This Halloween, Daniel Radcliffe becomes the face of the devil in "Horns". The first teaser trailer of the horror movie offers a glimpse of the British actor with horns coming out of his head and a snake slithering on his shoulder.
"No one is born evil. But sometimes, when you go through hell, the only way out is to walk deeper into the fire," Radcliffe's character Ig Perrish says in the trailer. Perrish is the number one suspect for the violent rape and murder of his girlfriend, Merrin (Juno Temple). Hungover from a night of hard drinking, Ig awakens one morning to find horns starting to grow from his own head.
He soon realizes their power drives people to confess their sins and give in to their most selfish and unspeakable impulses - an effective tool in his quest to discover the true circumstances of his late girlfriend's tragedy and for exacting revenge on her killer.
"Horns" had its premiere at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival and was acquired by Radius-TWC for a North American distribution. No release date has been announced yet, but it is expected to be revealed during the film's San Diego Comic-Con panel on Friday, July 25. Radcliffe, Temple and director Alexandre Aja are scheduled to attend.
A new poster for the supernatural thriller has also been released, showing Perrish in a wanted ad.
