Pitt and McConaughey were hanging out in their respective balcony when the '12 Years a Slave' star noticed the 'Dallas Buyers Club' actor and threw a can of beer to his direction.

AceShowbiz - Brad Pitt showed friendly gesture over the weekend when he saw Matthew McConaughey standing in a balcony across the street. On Saturday, May 17, Pitt and McConaughey were standing in their respective balcony in New Orleans when Angelina Jolie's other half noticed the actor. He then waved to catch the "Dallas Buyers Club" star's attention.
The two stars exchanged some words before the "12 Years a Slave" star went inside for a few seconds and brought out a can of beer. The father of six expertly threw the can to McConaughey who later drank it.
According to L.A. Times, McConaughey and his family were taking part in "Amazing Race" event which benefits his Just Keep Livin' Foundation that day. The event was also held to support The Brees Dream Foundation by New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees.
Pitt, meanwhile, was in the area for Make It Right organization's Gala with Jolie. The charity helps restore buildings which were destroyed after the Hurricane Katrina struck in 2005. Chris Rock and Bruno Mars also took part in the gala as the emcee and performer respectively.
