'Star Wars Rebels' Debuts Full Trailer to Celebrate Star Wars Day
The upcoming series is set in a time where the Empire rules through fear and shrouds the galaxy in darkness.

In celebration of Star Wars day on May 4, the first full trailer for animated series "Star Wars Rebels" is unleashed. "In a time of darkness, when fear ruled the galaxy, heroes will rise, destinies will collide and a rebellion will ignite," a voiceover says.

The trailer features a lot of footage including Kanan, a secret Jedi, assembling his lightsaber and preparing for battle. It also shows the Empire's Jedi hunter as an Imperial officer who is seen reporting to the menacing Inquisitor near the end of the video.

"Star Wars Rebels" takes place between "Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith" and "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope" as the Empire tightens its grip on the galaxy and a rebellion begins to form. It will feature a small band of heroes i.e. Sabine, Kanan, Hera, Ezra, Zeb, and Chopper. Freddie Prinze Jr. is among the voice cast.

The series is scheduled to premiere in fall 2014 as a one-hour special on Disney Channel before airing regularly on Disney XD.
