The cast for true-story movie "Kidnapping Freddy Heineken" has been announced. Anthony Hopkins, Jim Sturgess and Sam Worthington, along with Ryan Kwanten, are lined up to star in the thriller. They are joined by Dutch actor Mark van Eeuwen and Australian newbie Tom Cocquerel.

The film will depict the 1983 kidnapping of Dutch beer mogul Freddy Heineken and his driver Ab Doderer. The grandson of the Heineken brewery founder and his chauffeur were released after a ransom of 35 million Dutch guilders, $50 million now, was paid. It was the largest ransom ever paid back then.

Daniel Alfredson, who helmed the original 2009 Swedish film version of "The Girl Who Played with Fire" and "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest" will direct the project. The screenplay penned by William Brookfield is based on Peter R. de Vries' book. Filming will take place in Belgium, Amsterdam and New Orleans beginning in late October.
