Anna Benson allegedly pulled a gun on her former husband, ex-New York Mets pitcher Kris Benson. The former FHM model was arrested Sunday, July 7 for trying to rob the ex-Major League Baseball star $30,000 after breaking into his house in Smyrna, Ga.
Kris managed to call police for help after telling Anna to let him get the money she wanted from his wallet. Instead of fetching it, he allegedly ran out of the house and dialed 911. He said his ex-wife was "screaming and out of control." He was afraid she was going to shoot him.
The former "Baseball Wives" star was found smoking on the back porch when the cops arrived on the scene. She had a knife in her waistband and wore a bulletproof vest as well as an ammo belt "that had several rounds of ammunition" when searched by authorities.
Anna, 37, was also armed with an expandable baton, in addition to the loaded gun. She was taken into custody without incident but managed to call out Kris in contempt for "being a f**king p***y."
She showed up in court Monday evening and remains in custody at the Cobb County Adult Detention Facility with no bond. She was charged with two counts of felony aggravated assault with a weapon, one count of criminal trespass, and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Anna met Kris while she was working as a dancer in an Atlanta strip club. They got married in October 1999. She infamously revealed that they had sex in the parking lot of Three Rivers Stadium, and wanted to repeat it at every major league park.
She served Kris with divorce papers in 2006 but they later reconciled. Their marriage eventually came to an end in July 2012 with him filing for divorce. They have three children, a daughter and two sons, together and she has another daughter from a previous marriage.
