The video for Nimrod Antal's film mashes up the concert footage of the heavy metal band and the clip featuring leading man Dane DeHaan.
After building anticipation with the release of its first photo, "Metallica Through the Never" finally debuts its first teaser trailer, courtesy of Yahoo! Movies. The video will surely satisfy fans' craving for Metallica music as James Hetfield along with his bandmates is featured performing their song.
Glimpses of Dane DeHaan are also teased in the promo trailer. Even though the young actor's presence is brief, it is enough to know what his character likely gets involved in. Trapped in the middle of a riot, he is seen carrying a briefcase, which undoubtedly needs to be transported to someone.
Nimrod Antal writes and serves behind the lens for "Metallica Through the Never". The film centers on a young band crew member who is sent out on an urgent mission, while the rock band is playing a rousing live set in front of a sold-out crowd and unexpectedly finds his world turned completely upside down.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Hetfield says that the film is "pretty complex" to describe. "It's like three movies in one ... So there's a lot of different dynamics happening within this movie, and every time we go and see it and tweak here and there," the rocker explains.
Hetfield then continues saying, "It's like putting a song together - only it's a little more expensive. It's pretty scary but it's been something on our radar for awhile. It's become more unique than we ever though it would."
"Metallica Through the Never" is set to open across the nation on September 27.
