Movie

A newly-released international trailer for 'The Wolverine', meanwhile, shares more backstory of Logan during World War II.

AceShowbiz - The highly-anticipated full trailer for "The Wolverine" has finally made its way out online via Apple. It reveals that Logan travels to Japan as an old acquaintance, who is dying, wants to thank the self-healing mutant for saving him in the past, offering him mortality in return.

As seen in the previous sneak peeks, Logan thinks what turned him into a mutant with adamantium claws "can't be undone," but the old man claims his company has the technology to end Logan's eternity. What is supposed to be a gift appears to be a double-edged sword when Logan finds himself in a middle of a fight with Yakuza.

More scenes are shared in an international trailer for the follow-up to "X-Men Origins: Wolverine". It includes flashback to the time Logan was in Japan during World War II.

"The Wolverine" takes the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed.

Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.

Hugh Jackman reprises his role as the titular superhero, joined by Svetlana Khodchenkova, Will Yun Lee, Brian Tee, Hiroyuki Sanada and Rila Fukushima in the cast ensemble. James Mangold serves behind the lens, with the script provided by Mark Bomback and Christopher McQuarrie.

This action film will hit theaters across the nation on July 26.
