Harmony Korine's "Spring Breakers" has been premiered in Italy as one of the most anticipated special screenings at the 2012 Venice Film Festival. The show grabbed the attention especially because the film's starry cast members were all on hand to support the red carpet event. Stealing the show were none other than former Disney darling duo, Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens.
Stepping out for the formal occasion taking place at the Palazzo del Cinema on Wednesday evening, September 5, Gomez and Hudgens looked flawless with their very gorgeous looks. Gomez glammed up in a blush pink strapless Versace Atelier gown with patterned detailing. She finished off her stunning look with a matching Judith Leiber miniaudiere, Lorraine Schwartz jewelries and a pair of Sergio Rossi shoes.
Hudgens looked equally elegant in a floor-length dress by Temperley London. The 23-year-old starlet oozed sexiness by baring her cleavage in the pastel-colored dress which was adorned by golden chains as the accents. Completing her fabulous look, she arranged her brown hair into a simple updo and applied minimalist makeup on her face.
Also dazzling on the red carpet were Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine. The former stunned in a strapless blue floorlength dress that she paired with matching heels, while the latter looked fresh in a golden flowing gown. James Franco, meanwhile, was also spotted at the event, looking dapper in a traditional two-piece black suit.
"Spring Breakers" follows four sexy college girls who plan to fund their spring break getaway by burglarizing a fast food shack. But that's only the beginning. During a night of partying, the girls hit a roadblock when they are arrested on drug charges.
Hung over and clad only in bikinis, the girls appear before a judge but are bailed out unexpectedly by Alien, an infamous local thug who takes them under his wing and leads them on the wildest spring break trip in history. Rough on the outside but with a soft spot inside, Alien wins over the hearts of the young spring breakers, and leads them on a spring break they never could have imagined.
The movie has just been acquired by Annapurna Pictures and is expected to hit the U.S. theaters on March 5, 2013.
