Jessica Sanchez: I Wanted to Win 'American Idol' for My Girls
Celebrity

Jessica confesses she felt disappointed to be the last girl standing and wishes she could have won it for her female fans.

AceShowbiz - Although she repeatedly said in interviews that she's happy for Phillip Phillips who won "American Idol", Jessica Sanchez admitted she wished she could have brought home the crown. She explained her thoughts on the matter to Us Weekly.

"Being the last girl standing was really one disappointment for me. Phillip deserved it, but I wanted to win for my girls!" the 16-year-old girl said in a recent interview. She had no regret though, as saying, "I made it pretty far, so I'm happy about everything."

One of the unforgettable moments she had on "Idol" was when she collaborated with Jennifer Holliday. She gushed, "She is an amazing vocalist and that was an empowering moment for me. I've never sang with someone like that where we could feed off each other's energy. She was in my face, I was in her face and it was really fun."

Now that the singing competition is over, she's looking forward to reuniting with the other contestants, including Phillips, for a tour this summer. "He's like a big brother to me. I will prank him on tour," she spilled. "I'll be like the Heejun of the Idol family ... he was pranking everyone in the beginning!"
