While Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver have said in a joint statement about their separation that they are working on the future of their relationship, divorce seems to be creeping closer and closer to the estranged couple. People Magazine has just reported that 55-year-old Maria has hired a divorce lawyer.
Sources close to Maria claimed that the daughter of Eunice Kennedy has had prominent Los Angeles family law attorney Laura Wasser representing her. It was said that the former first lady of California has hired Laura before Arnold went public with his confession of affair and love child. Still, one source noted, "Maria hasn't decided yet if she wants to end her marriage."
Maria was recently spotted going for a lunch with two of her children. On Wednesday, May 18, she joined Katherine and Christopher at Taiko sushi restaurant in Brentwood, Los Angeles. An eyewitness told People mag, "She looked relaxed but was a bit pre-occupied during lunch with phone calls and she barely touched her food."
Nonetheless, the observer added, "She just seemed happy to spend time with her kids over lunch. Their conversation was calm and quiet. They were all smiling and seemed relaxed."
Meanwhile, two photos of Arnold and the woman identified as the mother of his love child, Mildred Patricia Baena, have found their way out. Obtained by TMZ, the pictures were taken before and after the retired housekeeper gave birth to his son.
One photo displays the former California governor striking a pose together with Mildred and a young child who looks to be Christopher, his youngest son with Maria. It was reportedly taken inside his house during the Christmas holidays around the year 2000. The other photo was taken in 1994, and shows them dancing in front of a live mariachi band at a private party at his house.
