Britney Spears' tour opener in Australia on November 6 has been hit with reports that many people attending the concert have walked out early and demanded refund for their tickets. In response to the negative reviews, promoter for the show spoke out, claiming the reports as a fabrication and revealing that Britney is upset with it.
"I'm so angry," promoter Paul Dainty told The Australian. "We can take heat if there's something wrong and people can review shows badly -- that's something you have to live with -- but to say people stormed out of the show was an absolute fabrication."
"Britney is aware of all this and she's extremely upset by it," he continued. "She's a human being. I'm embarrassed, with such a big international entourage here with Britney, to be part of the Australian media when I see that kind of totally inaccurate reporting."
Not only her promoter but also her manager Adam Leber has fought off the unfavorable reports. Adam took it to Britney's Twitter to defend the singer. "Its unfortunate that one journalist in Perth didn't enjoy the show last night. Fortunately the other 18,272 fans in attendance did," he wrote.
Hours later, he followed it up with another post, demanding those coming to the concert to share their experience. The fans' messages received by Britney's camp were then posted on her official website as proofs that the rumor is not true.
Britney Spears still has a number of concerts to be completed in Australia. Her next show will take place on November 11 at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne. Her other forthcoming concerts can be seen on her official website.

I would be furious if I was Britney too. Our media stinks, after all it's these morons who are reporting such nonsense to begin with. No-one is talking to the fans or recording the truth. I saw Miss Spears on Friday night & I agree with Tasha. The few who want their money back are shameless. Britney looked radiant, happy & was a true professional. Sound was excellent & she made sure she moved around, anyone complaining they couldn't see should be careful what seat they buy next time. Blame it all on yourselves! She did nothing wrong except mime, get over it.
I went to Britney's Melbourne concert on the 12th & 13th November & the stories circulating of mass walkouts are rubbish, ppl left during costume changes to go to the toilet, buy more YES more merchandise or bought refreshments. The sound quality was fantastic although she mimed. Who cares! We all knew she would mime when we bought the tickets! Anyone who isn't a fan or wants their money back should not have bought a ticket to begin with. On the 12th I couldn't see Brit too well from sitting at the back BUT THAT IS NOT HER FAULT, next night I was on the floor right in front of her, I saw everything, every move & she can dance & did so, anyone who says she can't dance should try some of her moves...FAT LAZY WANNABEES! GET A LIFE & put the blame where it really belongs on YOURSELVES! YOU BOUGHT THE TICKET NO ONE FORCED YOU SO TAKE SOME OF THE RESPONSIBILITY! I LOVE YOU BRITNEY! YOU ROCK!
I attended the Britney concert on 13th November in Melbourne and it was fantastic! You could see Britney on the giant screens, she danced and it was very entertaining. You don't go to a concert like that for a live acoustic performance you go for the entire show- and the show more than delivered!
I went to the Britney concert in Melbourne last night with my two sisters and a friend who is a doctor. The show was absolutly amazing. In fact it would leave Madonna's, Kylie's and the rest of them for dead. Yes she did mime, but the show, the circus, the dancers and Britney were amazing. No wonder she mimed, the amount of songs she did as well as all the dancing, she didn't stand still all night. Its called entertainment. Better than watching someone who tries to sing but can't like Kylie Minogue. Well done Bri's love you all the way.
GOODAY. Get a life. Fair enough if her dancing was up to scratch but she moved like a robot. Maybe us Australians are not as gullible as the Yanks
there is no need to bash Australia GOODAY. If you hate it so much why are you even here?
I'm an American, attended the concert, thought it was great! Only thing good about Australia is it's on the southern end of where I flush my toilet. Britney rules.
I have loved Britney from the first day she sang! She has always been a great performer.. But seeing as what she went through and where she is right now, it's amazing! I had the best time at the concert! Seeing Britney was enough, she was always open about lip syncing, so I don't know why it's a big deal now! Maybe she wasn't as energetic as she used to be, but I guess I would be tired after so many shows too! Give Britney a break! She's great!
the sound quality was terrible the base so loud u could not hear the vocals. She had little interaction with the audience and mainly performed to one side of stage.
The Friday night concert was shocking, I watched many people leave early I only stayed as I took along 4 teenagers who love Britney and I had hoped the concert would improve for their sake it didn't. The complaints you are getting from Perth crowds is nothing compared to what you will get from Melbourne and Sydney fans.
We went the Saturday performance and we were shocked at the lack lustre performance which to be honest was a waste of money. We wintnessed many leave early and I would sum it up like this ....... It is a concert that would remain unchanged if Britney didn't attend!
