Movie heartthrob Robert Pattinson is getting tired of being hounded by obsessive female fans in New York City. Often becoming the target of fans' attack on the streets of Manhattan, where he is currently filming his new movie "Remember Me," has made the actor desperate to get back to his native Britain.
"Robert is dying to get back home. He's so over everything. He's overwhelmed by all the girls - they terrify him!" New York Daily News quotes a source as claiming. "He says girls grab his neck and clothing all of the time, and he's not used to that. Fans don't do that to him in London. Everyone there is a little cooler about the fame thing, which is what he's used to."
"He's so skinny and stressed. Everyone on set is worried about him," the source reveals further. "Robert doesn't understand why everyone is going so crazy over him. He's embarrassed by the way girls throw themselves at him. The girls here are stalking him. He stayed in two different hotels over the course of four days just to try to escape the fans who were following him. He's afraid that if he gives a hand, they'll take the whole arm. He's being advised by security not to encourage the crowd, so he doesn't even look up anymore."
Hounded by a throng of female fans, in fact, isn't something new for Robert Pattinson. He often creates frenzy wherever he goes. Last month, he was hit by a taxi while he was escaping a throng of hysterical female fans on the set of "Remember Me" in Manhattan. Fortunately, he was okay.

I do not envy him at all. i would never come back to N.Y. if i were him. That is just plain insanity. These girls have WAY to much time on their damn hands. Stalking him!!!!! Come on where the hell is your damn PRIDE! Do you honestly think that that is gonna make him want you or even look at you. Control yourselves and get it together, think about that.
That must be really tough for him. but i dissagree with twilight's cool commentary about his vampire role. He probably just thought it was a great role to perform (at least i'm sure he thought that) and he probably never considered the chance that this may happen in the first place. I hope he can control this situations someday.
I feel so bad for him... I live close to LA and when I go it seems like people can't have a regular life....
i feel really bad for him because of all the screaming fans, but if he didn't want all the publicity then why did try out for the roll of a good looking vampire in the first place.
