AEG Live have been discussing the possibility of holding a tribute gig for Michael Jackson, and plan to set performances from the late singer's family and 'the stars that were influenced by him.'

AceShowbiz - Promoter may turn Michael Jackson's just-canceled comeback concerts in London into a tribute show. Hinting the possibility of the tribute gig is AEG Live President Randy Phillips during an interview with Britain's Sky News.

"At some point the world needs to see this production," Phillips said. "And I would imagine it could be done as a tribute with the family, with the brothers performing, some sisters, and the stars that were influenced by him."

"We have the intellectual property content, we have the sets, we have the costumes ... ," he continued. "The world needs to see this production. It would have been, which is the tragedy here, one of the most amazing shows ever, so at some point we want the world to see that. We are discussing with the family so the sooner, the better."

During the occasion, Phillip also denied rumor suggesting that Michael, who reportedly had wrapped a video for so-called "Dome Project", was too frail to perform. "We have, and we may at some point release, some footage of him in rehearsal that would totally refute that," so he insisted.

Michael Jackson's last rehearsal indeed has been taped and will be released as a CD/DVD set. Most recently, several pictures taken during his rehearsal session have hit the web, showing the late singer working on dance moves with his backing dancers.

In the meantime, those who purchase tickets for Michael's concerts can seek for either full refund or tickets printed with a "special lenticular process" on MichaelJacksonLive.com. When commenting on the possible financial lost suffered by AEG Live following the gig cancellation, Phillip said, "Our company will be fine financially from this."
