In a bid to give his best performance at London's O2 Arena, Michael Jackson had worked hard on a rehearsal session at Staples Center. And, fans can get a closer look at how he worked on some dance moves through his pictures at the rehearsal which have just hit the web.
In one of the photographs, Michael is seen dancing on-stage with several backing dancers. In the photo, lights are seen flashing from every direction with a huge "This Is It" writing appearing on the wide screen behind the late singer.
"Michael rehearsed 10 or 11 songs," his manager previously told Billboard about Michael's rehearsal session. "He sang and danced, not always at full power, but the way you do for a run-through. When the show was over, he called me, but I was in the back getting something. He found me, and said, 'Frank, I am so happy.' He said he was just so happy. He said, 'This is really our time.' He put his arm around me."
A comment is also made by Patrick Woodroffe, the lighting designer, who watched Michael's last rehearsal. He said, "We had rehearsed for the last couple weeks. We put together a complicated show, quite a spectacular show. Of course a huge part of it was him, and I would say for the last week he hadn't really been with us."
Michael Jackson's last tour rehearsal at Staples Center before he passed away had been taped and possibly will be released as a CD/DVD set. "We have a live album in the can," so AEG Live's official said as quoted by The Wrap.
As for Michael's concerts in London, they have been canceled, and full refund has been announced by AEG Live for those purchasing tickets for the gig. Beginning July 1, ticket holders who seek for refund will be directed to MichaelJacksonLive.com. For those who don't want any refund, AEG Live offers tickets printed with a "special lenticular process," a kind of 3-D image that changes or moves when viewed from different angles, to them.
