Movie

Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel and Jennifer Garner are among the impressive names listed in the cast ensemble of Garry Marshall-directed romantic comedy 'Valentine's Day'.

AceShowbiz - "Valentine's Day" is shaping up to get an all-star cast ensemble. Julia Roberts, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Anne Hathaway, Shirley MacLaine, Bradley Cooper and Ashton Kutcher are the A-listers to be included in the Garry Marshall-directed romantic comedy. All of them are in the final negotiations to star in the project.

Roberts will be playing an army officer on leave from Iraq on a flight to Los Angeles, while Cooper takes on a gay man whose lover is a closeted football player and is on the same flight as Roberts. Kutcher, on the other hand, will be portraying an owner of a flower shop who proposes to his girlfriend only to realize he is in love with his close friend. The girlfriend will be played by Alba, and Garner will star as the friend.

MacLaine picks up the role of Roberts' mother which is described to be a happy retiree who reveals to her husband a long-ago affair. While Hathaway will star as an assistant working at the biggest talent agency in town and dating a mailroom assistant, Biel sets eyes on a publicist unlucky in love who has no date on Valentine's Day.

Chronicling five slightly interconnecting stories occurring during a Valentine's Day in Los Angeles, "Valentine's Day" looks like another intertwining romantic comedy "Love Actually". The initial screenplay was written by Katherine Fugate with a rewrite by Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein. Several major roles are still to be cast. They include the gay football player, MacLaine's husband, the mailroom worker, a talent agent and a young boy looking to give his crush some flowers.
