Green Day Announcing 2009 Summer Tour Dates

As a promotional project to support their forthcoming eighth studio album "21st Century Breakdown", Green Day will embark on a tour across America and Canada, beginning on July 3 in Seattle, WA. They will finish it up with a live concert in Los Angeles, CA on August 25.

Unfortunately, venues where the band will rock out are still to be determined. Announcement concerning the concerts' arena is expected to be made in the coming weeks.

Aside from report of their tour dates, Green Day will release "21st Century Breakdown" in America on May 15. They will break down the new record into three acts; "Heroes and Cons", "Charlatans and Saints" and "Horseshoes and Handgrenades".

The tracks in the record will reportedly deal with the story of a young couple, Christian and Gloria, "through the mess and promise of the century so far." Most recently, the band's vocalist Billie Joe Armstrong revealed his desire of seeing Robert Pattinson as Christian and Ellen Page as Gloria.

"Know Your Enemy", one of the new materials in the new album, has been released to radio on April 16. Its music video, meanwhile, will be premiered on MTV on April 24 at 8 P.M. ET. and is going to offer "a new experience for a lot of [Green Day's] fans."
