Vowing to stay celibate this year, Katy Perry says she won't kiss anyone except her cat, Kitty Purry.

AceShowbiz - After her much-publicized break up with Travis McCoy, Katy Perry has made a vow of celibacy. US Weekly quotes the singer as telling the new issue of TV Guide, "I've actually taken a vow of celibacy this year. No kissing anyone. Just my cat, Kitty Purry." Nevertheless, no words are offered on why Katy opts to take the vow.
Katy Perry, who is famous for singing the controversial hit single "I Kissed a Girl", had been dating Travis McCoy of band Gym Class Heroes for nearly one year when their split was noticed by the media late last year. She has since declined to discuss the failed relationship with the press.
Last week, Katy was forced to write a denial on her blog, putting to rest mounting rumors claiming she called her separation from Travis "hurts" during an acoustic performance at L.A.'s Hotel Cafe. "I don't give statements about my personal life," she insisted in a brief message on her blog.
Personal life aside, Katy has scored a Best Female Pop Vocal Performance Grammy nomination for "I Kissed a Girl". Besides, she is also scheduled to perform at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards, set to be held on February 8.
