On top of his successful reality show "Making the Band" on MTV, P. Diddy will launch another star-search type of show via the same music channel. The rapper is on to select several talented artists with charisma to be picked as the winners of "Starmaker". The twist is, the selected ones will be made solo artists under Bad Boy Records.
Two people, a boy and a girl, of minimum 18 years old, will be chosen as the winners and get a signed contract with the label. Despite Diddy's status as the king of Hip-Hop, he will not limit the genre of musicians taking part in "Starmaker". From soul to country to pop, contestants simply must deliver their best at the audition dates.
Those interested can get behind the line on August 23 in San Francisco, C.A., August 26 in S. Louis, M.O., August 29 in New York, September 6 in Hollywood and September 9 in Atlanta. All doors will be opened at 9:00 A.M. local time. Contestants are required to prepare three songs that best represent their vocal range and may bring musical instruments when required. I think that your show gives a great opportunity for all talented music genres and styles out there,on the other hand i also think there need to be show that airs young singers like me who are under 18 years of age. In addition, there are great talents outside of Hollywood...you need to come search the small cities such as new jersey.

ay i watch this show and i seen pretty good talent but i feel as though i got ah lil more to offer vs the people i been seen? im guessing diddy wants ah mad performer also very talented.. if i ev get ah shot best believe he'll see that and much more and thats real talk..
Seen the show and most of the people suck. My friend tried out for the show and made it all the way up to round before they picked the final contestants. She sings and performs way better than most of these people. Diddy is known for picking talentless naive people so he can control them and make them sign jacked contracts where they don't get paid.

I have the confidence to do well except I am open to be in competition just as soon as there;s auditions in Jacksonville North Carolina in onslow county. I just found out about the show auditions..missed them by 2 months. I been googling the tape deadlines and cant find good info on it. I would stand outside of BadBoy if I had to. All I need is 2 minutes..Someone I.M. my screenname if there is any new developments!
uh ok here it go's im i am the 4th oldest out of 25 kids i graduate this year i'm a 17 year old young lady just lookin for a break i grew up in the church i live in Allentown small city in PA i been singing my hole life i love to sing i sing any where and every where i would love to try out for Starmaker and have a chance to win then i could support my family and sing for a living thats all i want to do but i guess u can always have your cake and eat it times now are harder than ever i'd be in class writing music instead of doing my class work i'd get in lost of trouble be i didn't care singing is what i do is what i live for good luck to every one who try's out and god bless

I really wish that this was a nation wide talent search cause as someone said .. i dont wantto state thier names .. but you have so many amazing talents out there that should be discovered i am a singer and i also sing latin songs and i've been livin in the Bahamas for years now and it is so hard to get discovered.. especially when you dont know who to look and ask for .. it would have been so cool if Diddy had ask us to like upload videos of us singing well at least those who live in the americas and other places..
It would be an honor to become the next solo artist for you if i have this oppertunity i promise you i would not let you down i know you get this all the time but i am a daughter of a late great gospel singer and i know nothing else in this world would make him happier to fufill his dream as well as mine please consider giving me a chance i have never been great at making good decisions but i know an oppertunity like this would most definetly catch my mothers eye for once.
it is so much talent in the small cities some put really wanna make but their just not financialy able to travel long distances just keep that in mind the next time you decide to promote a talant search
