Following the reports on Lil' Kim leaving Atlantic Records, it was suggested that she will release her not-yet-titled album independently. Her decision came after the rapper felt she has broadened her knowledge in the music business, enough to fly solo.
Despite rumors that she was dropped, Kim said in an interview with DJ Kay Slay on Sirius Satellite Radio show that she has no hard feeling against the label. Further, she also said that the intention of releasing an album independently has been planned years ago but she was still afraid of it.
The album which would be her first since her jail stint last year, is now scheduled to be released either in April or May this year.
Before the news on her Atlantic Departure, there have been rumors that she would join Fat Joe on Imperial Records but nothing has been confirmed yet.
