Britney Spears was a no-show at a court ordered deposition scheduled for Wednesday morning, December 12 due to "anxiety."

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears is at it again. The troubled pop star skipped a scheduled deposition Wednesday morning, December 12 in her ongoing child custody dispute with ex-husband Kevin Federline due to a "mysterious illness."

Britney was expected to submit to questioning at the LA offices of K-Fed's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan, giving her long-delayed deposition in their ongoing custody battle. She, however, didn't show up at the court-ordered hearing after having some sort of medical condition or illness which at the end of the day claimed as "anxiety."

Kaplan told throng of news media and paparazzi who were waiting for Britney's arrival outside his offices that the singer was not coming because she didn't feel well. "I was told of a general [medical] condition, and [Spears] felt she couldn't attend," Kaplan said outside his Los Angeles offices.

Britney's BFF Sam Lutfi said the singer's anxiety level was too high for her to attend the deposition and that she bailed on the meeting after phoning a doctor. Still according to Lutfi, Spears actually was about to attend the deposition and was ready to go to the offices of Federline's lawyer. But when "she saw the media frenzy outside her house, her anxiety skyrocketed."

Concerning that encounter, Kaplan has stated that Britney is "going to show at a later date, but we don't waive any rights to ask for certain relief from the court as a result of having a court-ordered deposition not attended."

Kaplan has completed a number of depositions of Spears' former associates, including pal Alli Sims, former manager Larry Rudolph, and former bodyguard Daimon Shippen. He'll use evidence gathered in the depositions to argue that Federline should be granted primary custody in the court's final ruling.

Federline currently has primary physical custody of sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, with supervised visitation for Spears.
