Rumor has it that Queen Latifah is about to confirm her sexual orientation and is now engaged to be married to her unnamed girlfriend.
Gossip blogger Perez Hilton runs a short claim, based on The New York Post report ran Monday December 3rd about a non-disclosed actress preparing to come out, that said he thinks the star is Latifah.
The New York Post story said, "WHICH big Hollywood actress is about to come out of the closet? She's been living with her girlfriend in a small town, where all the neighbors know, and the two are now engaged to be married."
And so Perez comes to such assumption, wrote on his site "If it's not Queen Latifah, who lives in a small town in New Jersey, then who is it???? (Jodie Foster lives in the not-so-small city of Los Angeles.)"
Latifah has been so far avoiding to discuss her romantic life which thus prompted tabloid media to come to such speculation that she indeed is a lesbian. She responded to the lesbian report in her 1999 autobiography "Ladies First: Revelations of a Strong Woman" by saying, "It's insulting when someone asks, 'Are you gay?' A woman cannot be strong, outspoken, competent at running her own business, handle herself physically, play a very convincing role in a movie, know what she wants, and go for it, without being gay? Come on."
In early October it was reported that she gave her same-sex partner a brand new Range Rover. She's said to have the vehicle delivered to New York restaurant Philippe where she and her girlfriend were enjoying lunch.

I think latifah is a very successfull and intelligient woman. I personally like her. However, I do think it is unfair for her to not reveal her true sexuality. she is in the public and considered a role model. I may not want my child watching her or listening to her music if I thought she was gay. I have a right to know who my heroes and role models are so I can make informed choices for my children. If you are truly at peace with something why does it need to be a secret. My morality and religion forbids this type of behavior and I do not say that in a judgmental way-it just what I believe and I should not have to be mislead by someone who is misrepresenting themselves. Be honest and be real one way or the other.

I am so sick of seeing such negativity being aimed at those who aren't afraid to be who they are. Gay or not the Queen is just that, a Queen. She is so successful and beautiful. I like Queen Latifah, but God created her a woman, and it is a sin for a woman to lay with another woman, as well as a man to lay with another man.
