Debra Messing is back to the small screen, renewing her vows as "The Starter Wife."
The actress, nominated for a 2007 Emmy for Lead Actress in a Miniseries for her work on "The Starter Wife," will reprise her role as Molly Kagan, a woman who after years of marriage to a Hollywood film mogul, is forced to redefine herself and her role in society when he leaves her for a younger woman.
With USA Network has decided to turn "The Starter Wife" into a weekly series, it already ordered up ten episodes with filming is due to start in March for an expected summer 2008 premiere.
"The Starter Wife," based on the popular novel of the same name by Gigi Levangie Grazer, ranked high among the most-watched cable programs of last summer. The TV miniseries attracted an impressive 5.4 million viewers in its two-hour debut on May 31, 2007.
No words on the other cast set to star in the forthcoming weekly series.
