The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office is disinclined to charge Lindsay Lohan with three drug-related felonies, which means she could possibly avoid prison time.
Lindsay Lohan is one step closer to taste her freedom. The troubled starlet might escape prison time after the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office is disinclined to charge her with three drug-related felonies, two of which stemmed from her recent arrests for drunken driving back in May and July.
Celebrity news outlet TMZ.com has reported "there is a 'strong possibility' the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office will NOT file felony charges against Lindsay Lohan in connection with her two DUI arrests."
Lindsay, on the other hand, would likely face misdemeanor drunk-driving charges for both incidents because of which she would serve a minimum of four days in jail if found guilty of both.
Being asked to comment on that encounter, district attorney spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons claimed the office has not yet received the Santa Monica case and the Beverly Hills case remains under review, saying "A public discussion of potential charges prior to a case being filed would be inappropriate and potentially unethical."
Gibbons, moreover, also denied report that charges could be filed on Wednesday August 22nd as reported by gossip website TMZ.
Lindsay was booked in May after she crashed her car on Beverly Hills and then arrested for being involved in a late-night car chase in Santa Monica back in July.
