A huge pop star herself, Kylie Minogue does deserve a huge celebration when the time has come for her to celebrate her 20th years existence in music industry. The Australian songbird reportedly is planning to throw a star-studded party in London to mark the 20th anniversary of her first single "Locomotion".
The bash, slated to take place August 3rd later this year to coincide with the hit single's success in topping the Australian charts, is said to cost Kylie $670,000. Guests will among others include, musical stars and celebrities, as well as friends, family and past-loves.
"The date of the party is really significant to Kylie. When 'Locomotion' went to No.1 in Australia on August 3, 1987, it was the start of something special. She is even flying in old mates from Australia and begging her two grandmothers to make the long trip from Melbourne," Britain's The Sun newspaper quoted a source as saying. "Guests have been told to assemble at a Soho (central London) hotel before being bussed to the secret party location."
Further the source added, "In some ways, it's a celebration of the fact she has resumed her place in the music world after her illness. It's also a chance for her to thank all the people who assisted and encouraged her."
In the meantime, Kylie is working on her comeback album after successfully beating breast cancer last year.
