Lindsay Lohan's publicist has stated that the actress will skip the 2007 MTV Movie Awards in which she is supposed to be a presenter.

AceShowbiz - Being in the middle of her rehab, Lindsay Lohan has decided to not attend this year's MTV Movie Awards, her publicist Leslie Sloane Zelnik confirmed Friday, June 1, 2007 through a brief e-mail.

The beauty was supposed to show up as one of several celebrity presenters scheduled for the show, which is going to be aired live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City on June 3. Others still bound to present the trophies include fellow actresses Cameron Diaz, Jessica Biel, Mandy Moore as well as actors like Bruce Willis and Robin Williams.

Lohan was reported to enter an intensive medical rehabilitation facility after a wild Memorial Day weekend during which she crashed her Mercedes Benz on Sunset Boulevard and was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. It is believed that she checked in to the Promises treatment center in Malibu, where Britney Spears was recently treated.

In related news, it is revealed that the actress will still appear in her newest film project "Poor Things" though, as the producers turn out to have switch the film schedule upon her request in her wish to remain in the cast of the flick, set to be directed by Ash Baron Cohen.

"In the spirit of helping Lindsay Lohan and her rehabilitation, we have been asked by Lindsay to comply with her wishes to continue working on Poor Things," the movie's producers Shirley MacLaine and Rob Hickman stated. "We are trying to rearrange the shooting schedule to facilitate her working at the end of the shoot to coincide with the completion of her rehabilitation. We wish her love and the blending of mind, body and spirit."
