Yes they are dating and have been reported moving in together. By now talk is heating up that Nicole Richie and boyfriend Joel Madden might be engaged.
The pair was seen visited Los Angeles jewelry store XIV Karats on Monday February 19th, with Richie was seen trying on several ruby necklaces before buying one for half-price at $3,350. Shortly after that, they began looking at the engagement rings, which were also in the sale.
"Of course he would never get her a half-price ring," Life and Style Weekly magazine quoted an employee as saying. "You can tell they're crazy about each other. His arm was around her the entire time."
Richie and the Good Charlotte frontman began dating late last year soon after he broke up with former girlfriend Hilary Duff.
