Chris Brown Takes Acting Duty on "The O.C."

Chris Brown scores role on "The O.C.".


From now on people would not merely recognize Chris Brown as R&B artist as the singer also is giving hand at acting. "I'm gonna be on 'The O.C.,' " Brown said Wednesday August 30th at the MTV Video Music Awards media forum at Radio City Music Hall.

On his new duty, Brown reveals that producers for the American television comedy-drama program contacted his management and so he wanted to give it a go. And thus, the R&B singer has been slated to perform in approximately seven episodes of the fourth season of the drama, broadcast on the Fox Network, beginning in October and airing in November.

Speaking about his role on the program, Brown said "I play, like, a band geek, I'm really stepping out of my own character". In the accompanying feature, it is also reported that Brown also plans to begin recording his sophomore album in October while filming the show. The new album reportedly has been scheduled for a May release, coincides with the star's 18th birthday.
