20th Century Fox Animation intends to develop another animated feature entitled "The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs."
Shifting into much smaller animals after the prehistoric mammals of "Ice Age", 20th Century Fox Animation sets to develop an animated film about a bunch of bugs in "The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs" with "Ice Age" director, Chris Wedge, at helm.
Based on William Joyce's illustrated children's book of the same title, pic will follow the book's story which revolves around a troop of brave bugs in their effort to save a garden. Joyce himself will handle the screenplay and expand his book's original premise for the screen with the help of Jim V. Hart.
The animation division of film studio 20th Century Fox, 20th Century Fox Animation originally ran Fox Animation Studios for six years before acquiring Blue Sky Studios, a computer animation company through which it has earned huge success in the box-office, most recently with "Ice Age: The Meltdown." The company currently is in production of "Horton Hears a Who", an adaptation of the Dr. Seuss' book set to be released in summer 2008.
