Lionsgate is producing Larry Brown's ultimate piece of work, "The Rabbit Factory", into the big screen.

AceShowbiz - Another factory is lining up for the silver screen, and it is Lionsgate's turn to build. Based on Larry Brown's ultimate piece of work, "The Rabbit Factory", Ithaka Entertainment is pointed to produce the big screen version of the novel.

Several names have been attached to share the credit titles. Vondie Curtis-Hall directs the movie, who previously helmed the action-thriller, "Waist Deep". Meanwhile, the adaptation to the big screen version is done by Thom Jones, a finalist on National Book Award, who is also a short story writer.

Memphis shall be the location of this novel-adapted movie, which tells the exploration of a world filled with desperation and violence. Free Press published "The Rabbit Factory" in 2003, the previous year before Brown passed away.
