Nigel Cole to Reveal the "Secret Diary"

Nigel Cole will helm "The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole," based on the bestselling British young-adult book by Sue Townsend

Nigel Cole, who previously directed "Calendar Girls", is taking "The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole" as the next film project he's willing to direct.

Based on the best-selling British young-adult book by Sue Townsend, the drama movie will be produced by Brett Forbes, Patrick Rizzotti, and Alison Owen.

The novel itself concerns the trials and tribulations of a 13-year-old British teen searching for his identity and some degree of normalcy in his highly dysfunctional, working-class family.
