Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan and REM frontman Michael Stipe will headline a New York concert to urge the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq

AceShowbiz - "Bring 'Em Home Now!" shouted R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe who is going to headline a concert in New York next month calling for U.S. troops to pull out of Iraq. The so-called anti-war concert will be held at the Hammerstein Ballroom on March 20, which coincides with the third anniversary of the invasion of Iraq.

Stipe will be joined by anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan who is slated to speak during the concert. Additional performers at the concert dubbed "Bring 'Em Home Now!" include Rufus Wainwright, Bright Eyes, Chuck D, Fischerspooner, Peaches, Steve Earle, and Devendra Banhart.

The concert organizers, moreover, said that the show will be soon followed by a national "Bring 'Em Home Now!" speaking tour that will feature Sheehan and various authors traveling to 15 U.S. cities in April.
