Controversy usually comes along fame and popularity. This happens to pop superstar Britney Spears. It was reported previously that the singer is about to make an appearance on US TV show "Will & Grace." Unfortunately, her planned appearance has sparked anger from Christian campaigners the American Family Association (AFA).
It is the storyline that will present Spears starring as a TV host for a program named "Cruci-fixin's" that becomes the main problem. The Mississippi-based group considers the show "mocks the crucifixion of Christ." Furthermore, they also believe that the chosen day for the episode to be broadcasted, April 13, which coincides with the eve of Christian celebration day, Good Friday, denigrates Christianity".
Thus, based on such fact, AFA then asked for the episode to be cancelled. On the other way around, as of NBC side they issued defense, claiming that the role of Britney Spears has yet to be determined. They say "Some erroneous information was mistakenly included in a press release describing an upcoming episode of "Will & Grace", which, in fact, has yet to be written."
