Just moment after the generous Bob Geldof uttered his plan on commencing the "Live 8" benefit concerts aimed to raise money for the needing help Ethiopian, many musicians signed on to perform on that show. The project is scheduled to begin July 2 in London, Paris, Berlin, Philadelphia and Rome and simulcast on television and the Internet.

The Live Aid sequel will feature the top music acts in the world, including Paul McCartney, U2, the Rolling Stones, Madonna and a reunited Pink Floyd, all of whom will perform along with Coldplay, R.E.M., Mariah Carey and the Cure in London. Also signed on to perform were Dave Matthews Band, Bon Jovi, Stevie Wonder, Sarah McLachlan, Will Smith, Jay-Z and P. Diddy, all of whom will take the stage in Philadelphia.

Headliners in Paris will include Jamiroquai, Placebo, Andrea Bocelli and Youssou N'Dour. The Berlin bill will then be led by Lauryn Hill, Brian Wilson, A-ha and Crosby, Stills and Nash, while Duran Duran, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw will command the stage in Rome. Several other musicians signed on to perform on the concert were Usher, Snoop Dogg and Destiny's Child, whose details on where they'll be playing have not yet confirmed.
