Clint Eastwood's 'Invictus' Welcomes Trailer

What should an ex-prisoner turned president do to unite his country which has been swallowed by apartheid? When it comes to Nelson Mandela, he seeks for an inspiration as seen in a brand new trailer for "Invictus". Released via Apple, the sneak peek gives out Morgan Freeman as the South Africa's President and Matt Damon as the captain of the country's rugby team, Francois Pienaar.

This Clint Eastwood-directed feature takes a look at the first term of Mandela as president. Elected as the leader of South Africa, Mandela knows his nation remains racially and economically divided in the wake of apartheid. Still, he believes he can bring his people together through the universal language of sport, and with the help of Francois, the nation's underdog rugby team make their historic run to the 1995 Rugby World Cup Championship match.

First Look: Morgan Freeman as Nelson Mandela in 'Invictus'

An image of Morgan Freeman in costume for his upcoming feature film "Invictus" has been found via In Contention. The photo, displaying the 72-year-old actor as freedom fighter Nelson Mandela for the first time, is said to be snapped from the set of the Clint Eastwood-directed drama.

Prior to the outing of this Freeman's photo, a capture of his co-star, Matt Damon, has also been shared. In the picture, the younger actor can be seen portraying Francois Pienaar, a rugby star and captain of the South African Springboks national rugby union team who led the team to victory in the 1995 Rugby Union World Cup.
