Stevie Wonder's Rare Duet with Ella Fitzgerald Packed in CD

A rare footage of Stevie Wonder's duet with the late Ella Fitzgerald will be included in the diva's revived classics album "We All Love Ella: Celebrating The First Lady Of Song".
Grammy award winning song "You Are the Sunshine of My Life" was recorded in a duet version between Wonder and Fitzgerald in 1977. This song is among latest additions for the album that is due June 5 via Verne. Other artists also paying tribute through their covers are Michael Buble, KD Lang, Diana Krall, Natalie Cole, Gladys Knight, Queen Latifah, Hank Jones, Ledesi, Dianne Reeves, Linda Ronstadt, Etta James and Lizz Wright.
Gladys Knight to Receive 16th ELLA Award

R&B singer Gladys Knight will be the recipient of this year's ELLA Award. The honor that is given by Society of the Singers will be presented to her on Sept 10.
Upon receiving this award, Knight gave her statement, "It is a truly awesome feeling to be receiving this honor. Ella was the sweetest and most beautiful person as a talent and as a human being." The president of Society of Singers Jerry F. Sharell explained that choosing the singer is only appropriate considering that she is "one of the greatest and most distinctive voices of our time".
Revival of Ella Fitzgerald's Classics

As a tribute to the late jazz singer Ella Fitzgerald, artists such as Michael Buble, KD Lang and Diana Krall have joined forces to make an album covering Ella's classics. The compilation will contain 13 tracks and is titled "We All Love Ella: Celebrating The First Lady Of Song."
Scheduled to release on June 5 via Verve, the album will also feature Natalie Cole, Gladys Knight, Queen Latifah, Hank Jones, Ledesi, Dianne Reeves, Linda Ronstadt, Etta James and Lizz Wright.

First of all, Prince takes the nomination of Outstanding Male Artist with initial competitors of Chris Brown, Jay-Z, John Legend and Lionel Richie. The vocal wonder Mary J. Blige on the other hand, takes on the female position. With that she beats her fellow warriors Beyonce Knowles, Corinne Bailey Rae, American idol winner Fantasia Barrino and also India.Arie. Besides the award, Mary also brings home Best Music Video for "Be Without You".
Hollywood Stars to Honor Nobel Peace Laureate
December 12, 2005 01:12:00Oscar-nominated actress Salma Hayek and her celebrity pals, including Julianne Moore, Gladys Knight, Duran Duran, Westlife and Sugababes, have all become masters of ceremony for this year's Nobel Peace Prize Concert in honor of International Atomic Energy Agency and it's chief Mohamed ElBaradei. Held Sunday Dec 11, the celebration is broadcast to about 100 countries and has become the cornerstone of three days of Nobel peace celebrations in Norway.
Praised Nobel peace laureate ElBaradei for his efforts to save humanity from nuclear weapons, Hayek commented "ElBaradei said the largest threat to world security and all of our futures is (nuclear) terrorism. There is nothing more pressing right now than a global effort for peace and control of these materials. I don't think there is anything more pressing ... than the future of mankind."
Joint Masters of Ceremony for the Nobel Concert
November 30, 2005 01:11:19Hollywood babes Julianne Moore and Salma Hayek are tapped to team up as the joint Masters of Ceremony for the 2005 Nobel Peace Prize Concert to be held Dec. 11 in Oslo. The twosome has been slated to appear during the event for laureate Mohamed ElBaradei and the International Atomic Energy Agency he leads, organizers said Tuesday.
Joining them as the event MC among others are artists Gladys Knight, Duran Duran and Sugababes. Meanwhile, the likes of Westlife, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, Colombian rock star Juanes and Welsh opera singer Katherine Jenkins are all expected to live up the event.
