Kyle Hobbes takes aim with a stinger missile launcher. He fires. KABOOM! It's a direct hit! A V shuttle explodes in the sky. Jack realizes something isn't right. He races to the scattered wreckage. The shuttle was supposed to be filled with V trackers sent by Anna to hunt down those responsible for stopping her soldier. But there weren't any trackers onboard. No, this shuttle was carrying humans.

We jump back to the hours before the attack. Joshua warns that the tracker shuttle is en route. Ryan tells the team that if the shuttle lands they have no chance of survival. Their only choice is to blow it out of the sky. Father Jack has a problem with that. What if there are humans onboard? Ryan assures him there won't be.

Chad Decker continues to pursue info on the Fifth Column. Jack is evasive until Chad mentions that he's a frequent flier on the "V Only" shuttles. Jack warns that he should avoid flying one today. Armed with this lead, Chad heads up to the mothership clue in Anna. She decides to use this information to her advantage. Anna says, "If the Fifth Column wants to take down a shuttle…we'll let them."

Back in real time, Jack is devastated by the fact that they blew up a shuttle full of innocent people. He says, "If we wage war against the V's, if we strike preemptively, there is zero margin of error for us. Zero! Either we value life or we are the V's." He's out of the Resistance.

Erica is asked to investigate the terrorist action against the shuttle. Computer file photos from the scene show the human remains have smooth bones. Human bones crack when they are burned in the flesh. That means the people aboard the shuttle were already dead. It was a set-up and these photos will get the Fifth Column off the hook. Too bad someone has just permanently deleted them. All signs indicate that the pictures were erased by Erica's boss, Paul Kendrick.

There was a tollbooth with hidden video cameras near the site. Kendrick is on his way to retrieve the footage. Erica tells Ryan that he needs to get there first. Ryan and Hobbes are able to wipe away the video coverage just in time. Unfortunately, another set of footage was archived to a different server. Tire tracks at the scene match a van that crossed through the tollbooth. There's a photo of the driver: Father Jack Landry.

Kendrick has Erica join him in the interrogation. Jack is about to crack until Erica sneaks him the info about Anna's deception. Jack admits that he was in the area consoling a parishioner. As for the tire tracks, they could have come from any van in the fleet purchased by the church. Jack is released and returns to the resistance. He says Anna knew about the shuttle because of his chat with Chad Decker, who he still views as a potential ally.

Anna goes on the PR offensive stating that the Visitors are thinking about leaving since their presence is causing such strife. Chad Decker reports that there's a massive amount of unprecedented sympathy for the V's and an international outcry against the Fifth Column.

Kendrick appoints Erica as the new head of a task force to hunt down the Fifth Column. She'll be partnered with Agent Sarita Malik, who just happens to be the one who deleted the crime scene photos of the bones. That's because she's an undercover V. Malik tells Anna, "I am now free to serve our people and hunt down the Fifth Column with the full weight of the United States government behind me." Not a good thing.

A woman who is new to the Live Aboard program had a dream about doctors poking her with hundreds of needles. The woman believes it was just a nightmare but can't shake the feeling that it felt real. That's because it was real. The pain this woman suffered gets to Lisa. She doesn't want a similar fate to befall Tyler, so she dumps him. Tyler is crushed, but Lisa did what she had to do to protect him.

Lisa claims that she was unable to pull Tyler away from his mom. Anna takes the news in stride. She promptly backhands Lisa across the face, leaving a substantial bruise. It's all part of her plan to get Tyler back. Anna says, "There is no greater incentive for a human male than a damsel in distress." She then orders a V guard to break Lisa's legs. We're pretty Lisa won't be sending Anna a Mother's Day card anytime soon.
