In wedding planner mode, Leigh has the gang busy prepping for Amy and Vance's big day. Amy and Vance arrive with their respective lists of last-minute things they need done. Leigh passes the lists along to best man and maid of honor, Dave and Julia, instructing them to complete their tasks.

Amy and Vance move on to reviewing the seating charts for the wedding. On closer examination, Vance notices a number of male names he doesn't recognize, and discovers they're Amy's ex-boyfriends. Amy claims she has a great relationship with her exes, which is why she invited them. Vance isn't pleased, and vows to get his revenge by making a scene at the wedding. Leigh supports Amy, claiming the situation is no big deal; she has a file at home where she keeps information on all of her ex-boyfriends. Rex had no idea this file existed. He tries to play it cool, but has a hard time masking his jealousy.

Julia and Dave get to work on the lists, only to discover they're completely contradictory; it seems Vance and Amy want completely different things for their wedding. Julia proposes making some compromises on behalf of the couple. Later, Dave shows the list of "compromises" to Vance, only to discover that Julia got Amy's way on pretty much everything. Vance says this isn't a surprise; Julia's a manipulator and Dave is a pushover. Dave realizes this is true, and promises Vance he'll take a stand.

Leigh sends Vance on a pre-wedding golf outing with some of the male wedding guests. At first he has no complaints when she sticks him in a limo, but it turns out the limo is filled with Amy's ex-boyfriends. Leigh and Amy hope that Vance will befriend the exes and avoid any conflict on the day of the wedding. While Vance resolves to hate all of Amy's exes, he simply can't; they're all just such awesome guys. Vance enjoys the afternoon until he learns Amy broke all her exes' hearts. He starts to worry; if she broke up with these great guys out of the blue, who's to say he isn't next?

Dave confronts Julia about her sly manipulation techniques, and demands his independence. She concedes, and gives him clearance to plan the pre-wedding party completely on his own. However, when Dave brainstorms ideas on the party theme, he's completely indecisive. He seeks Julia's guidance, but she refuses to help, reminding that he wanted to do this on his own.

Rex finally breaks down and opens Leigh's file of ex-boyfriends, and Leigh catches him in the act. She tells him it's no big deal, and offers to go through the file with him. Still, the jealousy is too much for Rex to handle. Leigh reveals that she keeps another file; she's been secretly hoarding all the cards and memorabilia he's received from his ex-girlfriends since they've been together. She proposes shredding the files together.

At the pre-wedding party, Vance confronts Amy about her exes. If she broke up with such amazing guys, what kind of chance does he have? She agrees, the guys were great, but they just weren't right for her. She tells Vance that he has all of their best qualities combined, which is why their relationship will last.

Later, the gang complements Dave for putting on such a great party. While Dave basks in his glory, we learn through a flashback that Dave covered the bar with tacky Mardi Gras decorations, and planned for foam to drop from the ceiling at midnight. If it weren't for Julia's damage control, the party would've been a complete disaster. The party goes off without a hitch, except for the fact that Dave forgot to cancel the foam...
