Leigh encourages Rex to check out a gorgeous girl's rack. Only by staring at boobs will Rex be able to overcome their sexual power. At least that's what Leigh's hoping. Dave mistakenly thinks a hot girl is flirting with him; he soon realizes that when she yells "Hey, cutie!" she's referring to Dave's dog Luke and not Dave. Meanwhile, when a hot guy at the gym asks Julia on a date, she stutters awkwardly and scares him off. Across town, Vance and Amy offer to donate money to various causes just so they can flirt with the good Samaritans collecting the money.

While the guys sneak onto a golf course for a quick afternoon tee, Julia has assembled the girls at her house. A ditzy-sounding girl named Katie has left a message for Dave asking if he'd like to hike again. Amy and Leigh offer Julia moral support as she confronts Dave, who plays dumb and claims he barely remembers even meeting Katie. The next day Dave and Vance bump into Katie on the hiking trail. When Katie asks if she can join them on their walk, they happily agree. Julia and Dave arrive at Rex's empty car dealership and wonder if he's having some money problems. Rex is asleep in a Ferrari - not exactly a sign that business is booming. When Julia and Dave ask if Rex is in financial trouble, he admits that he's in a bind, but is certain things will work out. They always have.

Amy approaches Julia and Leigh with some alarming news: Dave - and Vance! - hiked with Katie again. What's more, Vance pretended like Katie was his new gay friend Antwon. Total betrayal! The girls intercept Vance, David, and their new buddy Katie on the hiking trail. Before Dave can explain, Vance sprints away in a total panic. Meanwhile, Rex lets a college student test drive a brand new Ferrari. Rex hopes the kid is an internet billionaire, but it turns out he's just trying to impress his ex-girlfriend who unceremoniously dumped him!

Amy and Julia demand to know why Vance and Dave have been hiking with a hottie. The guys argue that it's purely innocent; perhaps Amy and Julia shouldn't fall victim to such petty jealousy. Angered, Amy decides she's going to flirt with anyone she pleases. Meanwhile, Rex finally realizes that Timmy (the college student) isn't really considering buying an exotic car. Instead Timmy asks if perhaps if he could get a job at Rex's dealership after graduation. At the office, Vance admits to Dave that he's worried about Amy's new commitment to flirting. When Dave pretends to be above petty jealousies, Vance shows Dave all the flirtatious comments on Julia's Facebook page. Looks like she's got quite a few male admirers.

Julia and Amy head to Julia's office party, however they get sidelined when they see Rex and his new college buddy drinking beers and hanging out at a frat house. Seeing that Rex is clearly having some kind of breakdown, Julia offers her brother moral support. Amy on the other hand, jumps at the opportunity to flirt with college guys! Meanwhile, Dave has worked himself into a jealous frenzy after noticing that Julia's colleague - Ken - has an inappropriately close Facebook relationship with Julia. Dave decides to crash Julia's office party in order to tell Ken to back off. Dave drunkenly interrupts Ken's speech and even tries to beat him up!

Amy calls Vance from the frat party in order to tell him that a hot college guy is staring at her ass. Unfortunately, Amy's plan backfires when the college kid decides he's not interested in Amy and her crazy schemes. Meanwhile, Julia tells Rex not to keep his predicament from Leigh; if Rex would let Leigh know about his financial problems, she might actually be there for him. Suddenly, some sort of commotion interrupts Julia's pep talk. She sees that a drunken Dave has been kicked out of her office party and is currently making a scene. Julia drives Rex and Dave home, ignoring their pleas for a pit stop for some fast food.

That night, Leigh returns from a shopping spree to find Rex at home with a sad expression on his face. He admits to having money problems and even missing a housing payment. Surprisingly, Leigh isn't angry about Rex's financial issues; she's upset that he's been keeping them secret. Then Leigh unveils her "rainy day fund," a stash of hundred dollar bills that will go a long way towards helping them through these troubled economic times. The fund was initially intended to be Leigh's back-up plan if her marriage didn't work out, but she pledges her undying love to Rex and says there's no way she's going anywhere - ever.

The next morning, a now seriously hung-over Dave apologizes to Julia for ruining her office party and humiliating her colleague, Ken. Dave admits he isn't immune to jealousy and can understand why hiking with a hot blonde might've irritated Julia. As a couple, they decide to make some flirting rules. Dave can hike with women as long as they're much older. And Julia needs to reign in her urge to "LOL" at other men's comments on Facebook. That afternoon Rex and Leigh invite Dave and Julia to golf with them at their exclusive country club. Rex is really enjoying Leigh's rainy day fund and even gifts Dave and Julia with hundred dollar bills.
