NCIS is tasked with locating and securing a Romanian war criminal and human trafficker who is trying to escape the country. Questioning the suspect's lawyer leads nowhere, but Eric and Nell discover a CIA agent with ties to the suspect arriving at a private airfield. The agent admits to helping the criminal get into the country and points them back at the lawyer. Against Hetty's direct orders, Eric tracks the lawyer's car to the marina where she's meeting up with the suspect and they take him down. Meanwhile, Kensi learns of her mission in Afghanistan - kill an American working with the Taliban.
