With Lindsey out of town, the team meets at Alex's place which, according to Candace, needs a plant. Tyler is bummed because there's no food and Walter must adjust to Alex's weird corkboard. Nevertheless, the team pushes forward to investigate the death of a John Doe who fell to his death from a high-rise three months ago.

The victim was wearing an expensive suit with some informal specialty shoes. A clerk at a shoe store remembers the guy because he had some outrageous flip moves. They come across another specialty shoe fan named Gekko who takes off running. When Alex and Candace chase after him, the guy does some acrobatic moves up a fire escape that would put Spider-Man to shame.

The victim may have been a fan of "parkour." What's parkour, you ask? Well, it's a physical discipline that focuses on avoiding obstacles by adapting to the surrounding environment. It's very Matrix-ish in the moves and very Mr. Miyagi-ish in its non-confrontational attitude.

A man by the name of Bill Ramey saw a posting of the victim's parkour-friendly shoes on the Forgotten Network website. He believes they belong to his son, Benjamin, who was kidnapped 10 years ago. When executive real estate maven Maxine Denver (Elisha Cuthbert) sees a missing person sketch posted by the Forgotten Network, she shows up at Alex's place to say the man pictured is her brother, Simon, who has been MIA for three years. DNA tests reveal that the victim is Maxine's brother and not Bill Ramey's son.

Maxine's mom, Kerry, and stepdad, Sam, tell Russell that Simon was arrested for breaking into the Lohman Building, which is where he died. A witness said Gekko was seen arguing with him outside that same building. Sam is an architect who designed the Lohman building. He was able to smooth things over with the owners, but asked Simon to leave the house after the arrest. This is all news to Maxine, who had loaned Simon $2,000.

Maxine meets Walter and Candace when she stops by Alex's place. She's there because she doesn't buy into the idea that her brother committed suicide. She also knows he was too good at parkour to have fallen off the building. He wasn't a criminal either. Maxine believes her brother was murdered.

The team tracks Gekko to an old theatre where parkour is all the rage. When they ultimately catch the fleet-footed hood, they discover his real name is Seth Draper. He was with Simon when he got busted for breaking and entering at the building way back when. But then Simon went away to "see the world."

Simon knew that Maxine always believed in him. His skill at parkour paid for a trip around the world and got him a book deal. Simon was planning to use the money from his book to help fund a development program for at-risk kids. A photo-sharing account on his computer shows Simon performing parkour at numerous exotic locations and sharing his knowledge with others. One of the photos reveals a familiar face: Bill Ramey.

Ramey met Simon in Paris and kept in touch with him when they got back to the States. He believed that Simon was his missing son, but could never find a way to tell him. He says the last time he saw Simon was outside a house in Evanston. Maxine recognizes Ramey's description. It's her home. Someone there saw Simon alive.

Simon had returned home, he used his parkour skills to get inside the empty home. But it wasn't empty. His stepdad was home. He killed Simon as he made his way through the darkened house. He used his connections at the Lohman Building to dispose of the body. Maxine and her mom are understandably devastated.

Maxine knows that details of her brother's death, not to mention his recent life, would have been forever a mystery if not for the work of the Forgotten Network. She wants to know how to be a part of it. Alex's response is simple: just show up. Looks like Maxine is going to do just that. In more good news, somebody left a brand new houseplant for Alex on his desk. We're guessing it was Candace.
