Rebecca wonders if she made a mistake sleeping with Justin. After all, they are divorced. Nevertheless, she does agree to stay for breakfast as Justin whips up a little egg dish he learned in Afghanistan. The meal is interrupted when David calls with the news that Holly is missing. He has no idea where she is. That's okay. We do. She's over at Nora's house desperately wanting to talk to William.

Nora convinces everyone to stay away while she tries to help Holly over this latest hurdle. It's been so difficult. The more Holly remembers, the more she realizes how much she's lost. Nora worries she may do something drastic when she locks herself in the bathroom. Nora says, "I've called you a lot of things in my life, Holly Harper, but coward is not one of them."Thankfully, Holly opens the door and asks Nora to take her to the hospital.

Sarah is in charge of creating all the costumes for a school play. It's gobs of work, but she's trying to make a good impression on two pretentious women who have influence regarding Cooper's chances of getting into a cool school. Sarah ropes Kevin, Saul and Charlie (guest star Stephen Collins) to help her hem the wardrobe.

Charlie, by the way, is the man Saul's been seeing. Nice guy, great sewer. Too bad Saul's afraid to tell Charlie he's HIV positive. When Saul eventually does fess up, Charlie tells him he lived with someone who struggled with AIDS for 10 years. He doesn't have the strength to go through that again.

Sarah's young son looks great on stage, as do all the costumes until…RIP! The seams on one boy's costume split down the back. The actor who suffers the humiliating wardrobe malfunction happens to be the son of one of the moms Sarah has been trying to impress. Oops!

Later, Cooper takes Luc's advice about kissing from the heart and plants a super-smooth smooch on his leading lady. The heartfelt lip-lock stuns Juliet and sends her running of stage, though not before knocking over a whole bunch of the scenery. Oops, again!

Sarah tries to apologize to those oh-so-snide moms after the show. But when they start criticizing her parenting skills, Sarah finally puts them in their place. Her impressive rant was a long time coming. We don't think Cooper will be getting into that snooty school. We're also pretty sure Sarah no longer cares. On the bright side, the girl who played Juliet keeps calling Cooper for help with her homework. That must have been some kiss!

Kitty is doing odd jobs with Jack the Ojai guy and kissing him during coffee breaks. Okay, men of nature don't really break for coffee. Even though he's only known Kitty for a day, Jack admits to having some strong feelings. A freaked Kitty says, "If you had any idea what I've been through you definitely would not have kissed me."Still, it was a nice kiss and Jack is a nice guy. Guess that's why they decide to kiss again.

The doctors seem to think that Rebecca can either help jog her mom's memory or make it worse. It'll be up to her if she wants to see Holly again. Rebecca sees this as just one more decision she must make. She tells Nora she's been offered a photography job in New York City but doesn't know how to tell Justin.

Rebecca does end up seeing Holly. They chat about their past together, both the good times and the bad. Rebecca mentions Daniel, a young man Holly married when she was 16. She lost him when he went off to war and was killed in action. Holly realizes that if she told Rebecca such a personal, painful part of her life that she must have truly loved her. Sadly, she just doesn't feel that way now.

Justin was watching Rebecca as she chatted with her mom. He realizes that she was trying to make things like they were before. But things have changed. Both Justin and Rebecca realize they can't go backwards. As much as they love each other, they realize it's time to let go. Heartbreaking.

Rebecca stops to get one last look at her mom before she leaves for New York. She takes a photo of David and Holly at the hospital cafe. Rebecca snaps the picture from afar but we're sure that the people inside it will always remain close to her heart.
