A two hour episode calls for two wines... without further ado...

Wine of the Week 1: 2007 La Fenetre, Bien Nacido Vineyard Chardonnay, Santa Maria Valley - 2 hours of nail biting drama calls for two great bottles of wine! We will start with a Chardonnay that hits on all the notes required for some serious thought... With vibrant acidity, a complex mouth feel, and nuanced notes on both the nose and palate, this glass of wine will go great with a jaunt into the past. Family secrets will be revealed, and as the wine opens up many questions will be answered. Narrow Lake? Sell Ojai? Is that creme brulee or burnt buttered toast on the finish... you will have to wait and see!

Wine of the Week 2: 2006 Tête Brûlée Cabernet Sauvignon, Mt. Veeder, Napa Valley - After the end of the first hour this week, we will have some very heavy feelings to consider. That calls for a heavy wine, but nuance is still very much needed. Will we get to the bottom of sell Ojai vs. not sell? What does Dennis York see that everyone else doesn't? Sit back and enjoy as the craziness ensues, and I do mean craziness, as you are grounded by this inaugural vintage of a delicious Napa Valley Cabernet! Cheers!

Flashbacks reveal that Tommy Walker was in a car accident when he was a teenager. There was a lot going on that night, not just with Tommy, but with the other Walker kids, too. More on that later. In present day, Nora calls a family meeting. Everyone is surprised to see Tommy, who came down from Seattle to support his mom as she tries to convince everyone to sell their shares in Ojai. As you may have guessed, this particular family meeting does not go well.

To support Rebecca, Justin tells her he won't sell his shares. To support her mother, Kitty tells Robert she'll give up her part of the business. Scotty thinks selling is the way to go, but Kevin wants more details. Sarah is the resolute. She simply won't let go of the company and trash her career. When Sarah tells her mom this, Nora goes ballistic. It becomes clear to everyone that there's something Nora isn't telling them. Something big.

Flashbacks show Sarah witnessing an argument between Nora, William and Dennis York at the house. She couldn't hear what they were saying, but she had never seen her mother so angry. It was the night of Tommy's car accident. Tommy recalls his mother picking him up at the hospital. He also remembers seeing Dennis York run inside through the emergency room doors.

Nora tells Tommy she met with York again. He gave her an envelope filled with copies of canceled checks. Someone was paralyzed the night of Tommy's car accident. William made a deal with the family. They've been paying them off for 25 years. She says, "I know your father told you everything was all right. But it wasn't all right." York helped with the cover-up and now he's blackmailing Nora to get his hands on Ojai.

Realizing that the Ojai deal may have something to do with the night Nora was so angry, Sarah, Kitty and Kevin try to piece together information. Sarah was throwing a party for her college friends at Ojai. Kitty was there experiencing the joys of wine coolers for the first time. Tommy crashed the bash. He brought along a young Kevin and his friend, Aaron, who was visiting from another high school.Sarah remembers that, later in the evening, Tommy called about his car accident. He told her that their dad was on his way to Ojai. The party was over. Kevin remembers that when Tommy left to make a beer run, he wasn't the only one in the car. When Tommy swings by in present day, his brother and sisters question him about the other kid. But Tommy isn't talking. At yet another family meeting, the truth finally comes out. The boy who was in the car with Tommy that night is fine. He's a teacher up in Santa Cruz. This realization triggers a memory for Kevin. He says, "It wasn't Tommy that hurt a boy that night, was it?"Flashbacks show that Kevin was giving Aaron a behind the scenes tour of Ojai during the time everyone cleared out of the party. They were alone on the back loading dock when Aaron tried to make a move on Kevin, who had not yet come out. Kevin pushed Aaron away. The two of got into a fistfight that ended when Aaron fell backwards off a platform. Aaron is the one who was paralyzed. The look on Kevin's face when he finally learns the truth is beyond heartbreaking. In present day, a devastated Kevin stands helplessly on the Ojai platform where the accident occurred. Tommy reveals that he saw Aaron being wheeled into the hospital the night of his car accident. Dennis York was there, too. When Nora arrives, she tells Kevin that she was just trying to protect him. Kevin doesn't buy it. He believes she was only trying to protect herself. He storms off leaving his shaken mother behind.Nora visits William's grave. She says, "I hate you, William. I hate how much you've hurt this family. But I'm gonna repair this if it's the last thing I ever do." Let's hope she can.A painting from William's old office leads Holly, Rebecca and Justin to believe it may be a depiction of the mysterious Narrow Lake. A trip to city hall proves otherwise. After Holly leaves, Justin sees a couple of newlyweds walking down the hall. This inspires him to ask Rebecca to marry him right there, right now. These two have run into more than a few roadblocks whenever they've tried to tie the knot in the past. Not today. Justin and Rebecca are now husband and wife! While making some impromptu honeymoon plans, Justin tries to distract Rebecca by asking her to get him one of those "press your own penny" keepsakes as they grab some milkshakes at an off-highway rest stop. Justin is able to rent a house his family used to own when he was a kid. He scoops up Rebecca in his arms and carries her through the threshold of the old Ojai house. Let the honeymoon begin!Holly convinces Nora that finding Narrow Lake is the key to saving Ojai and the family. Holly has a plan. It involves Nora distracting Dennis York in a hotel lounge as Holly looks for clues in his room. It's all very Thelma & Louise. But Nora and Holly can't seem to agree on who's Thelma and who's Louise. When Holly strikes out in the room, they realize there may be clues inside York's car. So, they steal it. Seriously! If these two really do think they're Thelma & Louise, let's hope they steer clear of the Grand Canyon.A map in York's car marks the stops he made in Ojai Valley. Nora and Holly take a break at the same milkshake stand Justin and Rebecca visited. It's there that Nora recalls a time in 1973 when William said he was going on a business trip to look for land. She remembers it clearly because William was flirting with a leggy blonde at a party the night before. She figured the business trip was a front for a dalliance with the blonde. When Robert calls, Nora spills the beans about stealing York's car. She decides to hide out at the old Ojai house until they figure things out. Too bad Justin and Rebecca are already there on their honeymoon doing what honeymooners do best. Sarah and Tommy arrive a short time later. Robert told them about their mom's new grand theft auto hobby. They want her to return the car before they get into trouble. Too late. The next person to crash the honeymoon is the local sheriff. Nora and Holly are under arrest. While sitting in a jail cell, Holly tells Nora that she's the leggy blonde William was flirting with in 1973, but they didn't get together until a month later. That means William really was looking for land in the Ojai Valley. Before this revelation has time to sink in, Robert arrives to bail out the car stealing mothers, but not before snapping a quick photo of them behind bars. It should make a nice addition to the family album.Kevin is still feeling the aftershocks of the news that he accidentally paralyzed a boy named Aaron 25 years ago. After all this time, Kevin manages to track down the person he hurt. Aaron, who is confined to a wheelchair, says he's made peace with what happened that night. Now Kevin needs to do the same. Easier said than done.As Scotty and Kitty try to console Kevin, Nora calls with the news that Justin got married. They all head up to the Ojai house to celebrate. Of course, Kevin isn't in a very festive mood. He's also not ready to forgive Nora. Nevertheless, he takes part in a family dinner as everyone toasts the newlyweds. Kitty gets a phone call during the dinner. It's the doctor with the results of her first-look checkup after cancer treatment. The family waits anxiously until Kitty finally delivers the terrific news that she's now completely cancer-free.After dinner, Justin reminisces with Nora about the days at the old Ojai house. He remembers William would always be at the dinner table giving the kids his word puzzles, but Nora was more interested in what they did during the day. She made them feel like the most important people in the world. As a token of thanks, Justin gives his mom the pressed penny he asked Rebecca to make.Nora remembers that William gave her one of those same pressed pennies the weekend he was looking for land. That means he was in the area. Kevin was always good at figuring out his dad's puzzles. He realizes that Narrow Lake is actually an anagram for Nora Walker. Using the info they discovered from York's GPS, Nora and Holly travel to what looks to be an empty piece of land. Even though they don't know what to make of it, Nora says, "I see our future here." Guess we'll just have to wait and see if she's right.
